Narrative:

I was descending into the airport via an RNAV STAR. The field was in sight and we were cleared for the visual approach. As briefed; we proceeded direct to the final approach fix and set 2;900 feet. Pilot flying hand flew and began an easy descent with terrain in sight. We unexpectedly received a GPWS 'terrain terrain pull up pull up.' the pilot flying added power and adjusted descent rate. The lowest radar altimeter altitude seen was 1;300 feet. As pilot monitoring I was never concerned with the flight path or descent until the warning and felt the pilot flying correctly handled the situation. We never received any egpws warning.
