Narrative:

Miscom with ATC bfd. ATC said taxi up to position and hold short of runway. Crew misunderstood as taxi into position and hold. Aircraft on final had to go around. Supplemental information from acn 155388. Aircraft sat for 1 1/2 hours at the runway on ATC ground hold with engines shut down. Crews attention divided between starting engines, completing checklists and repositioning. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: in connection with the boeing study, reporter explained how the delay on the taxiway prior to takeoff contributed to runway incursion.
