Narrative:

The captain was the pilot flying; during turn onto runway xxr; the aircraft seemed to react as though trying to make a turn on an icy surface. The aircraft did turn abruptly back past runway centerline and continued toward the left edge of the runway. Power was reduced; brakes applied; and the aircraft once again turned back to the right abruptly toward the centerline. The aircraft did not leave the paved surface nor was there any damage to the aircraft or any ground equipment. We taxied back to the ramp for maintenance to inspect the aircraft. The taxi outbound to the runway and inbound to the ramp were uneventful.
