Narrative:
Received an RA (resolution advisory) 10 miles north of trish intersection flying the clipr 2 into dca. Deviated from 12;000 feet to 12;800 feet; got the pitch command in pfd (primary flight display). Told ATC what happened. They were unaware of any traffic. I did see a VFR GA aircraft pass us. The RA said +200. Returned back to 12;000 feet. ATC had no problem with us deviating.

Title: ERJ-190 Captain reported responding to a Resolution Advisory on arrival into DCA.
Narrative: Received an RA (Resolution Advisory) 10 miles north of TRISH intersection flying the CLIPR 2 into DCA. Deviated from 12;000 feet to 12;800 feet; got the pitch command in PFD (Primary Flight Display). Told ATC what happened. They were unaware of any traffic. I did see a VFR GA aircraft pass us.
