Narrative:

I was on my route qualification flight in the jumpseat and we were planned north over china/russia via polho. We were in and out of the clouds and ATC gave us three different off sets. 1st a 4mi off set [vicinity] fdola-wxi / 2nd 20mi pautu-akuba where on TCAS we came within an estimated 800ft of an aircraft passing behind us at FL320. Then had another 10mi off set dapro-hok. The communication was very difficult with the controllers and had to ask them to repeat the frequency and instructions. The near miss happened while in beijing's airspace. (The captain asked if I would submit a report due to what I had seen with this route.)
