Narrative:
We were cleared to taxi behind an aircraft from the ramp to the runway and were leaving the ramp to the taxiway when we observed a line of cars on our right and our left waiting for us to leave the ramp. Suddenly; for some reason; this white pickup truck decided to cross in front of us from right to left; I immediately applied brakes and stopped my plane; then I advised ground control of what happened and they said they saw it already taking care of it.
