Narrative:

During taxi in on scheduled flight, ground marshall did not use standard ICAO taxi hand signals, nor did he make any attempt to stop the aircraft. The result was that a very tight 180 degree turn was made (as called for by marshall) close to the terminal and minor injuries were received by 3 ground personnel. Also we were in clear view of the control tower and nothing was mentioned to us by the ground controller, even though we were the only aircraft operating on the field and directly under the tower. This part of the world often varies from the rest with special regard to ATC. I suspect that english being a second language creates a substantial impact here and could and often does compromise safety.
