Narrative:
We were on stabilized ILS to runway 25L. An air carrier medium large transport Y visibility approach to lax for the north runways (not the south), overflew the final approach course and came directly overhead our air carrier large transport X on approach for the southern most runway at lax. Tower was slow to respond. Had air carrier medium large transport Y descended any more for the wrong runway, we all would have had a serious problem.
