Narrative:

Primary runway at cwf closed; taxiway a now used as runway 16/34. Our aircraft was cleared to taxi and hold short of runway 16. Our aircraft taxied past the non-movement boundary markings off the ramp to a safe distance from another set of markings and lights lining the temporary runway. Our aircraft was instructed to return to the opposite side of the non-movement area boundary markings as an aircraft landing on 16 on half mile final was told to go around.I believe this issue stems from the use of non-standard hold short markings with no prior warning from either ATC or NOTAM. Notams at the time of arrival indicate no alternate runway markings were being used. If a non-movement area boundary marking is to be used as a runway hold short marking; it should be noted as such.
