Narrative:

We were cleared to intercept final via vector and speed assigned behind preceding aircraft. ATC did not provide adequate wake turbulence separation. We started to slow down early to provide adequate spacing but got caught in wake turbulence causing a minor upset requiring a significant amount of flight control input. The aft cabin flight attendant was sitting; but was tardy in 'strapping in.' the attendant suffered a minor upper arm bruise because she was not secure in her aft jump seat when the roll/yaw occurred.
