Narrative:

We were starting the EAGLZ2 arrival into ont at FL260. Filed low for rides and I had the speed intervene window open to 0.76 due to bumps. About 10 miles prior to top of descent I hard coded 0.76 on the cruise page and closed the speed intervene window. VNAV was engaged and [we] started down at top of descent. The nose pitched over to 320 knots because I forgot to re-enter the new descent speed into the descent page after hard coding the cruise page with 0.76; and VNAV went back to the high cost index descent speed. The altitude at grner is at or above FL240 and 280 knots; so we only had 2;000 feet to lose. Control wheel steering pitch came on; I lost altitude situational awareness; and I mistakenly selected lvl chng and speed 280 to gain pitch automation back without having the pilot monitoring put in a new altitude. We were at 320 knots in lvl chng and blew through the grner restriction. We leveled out at FL220 after the captain hit altitude hld. Jajee was the next fix at FL220. Since we were already there and were slowing to 280; VNAV was reengaged and the rest of the approach and landing [was] uneventful.

Title: Air carrier First Officer reported problems in executing a descent and making the altitude and speed restrictions.

Narrative: We were starting the EAGLZ2 arrival into ONT at FL260. We leveled out at FL220 after the Captain hit ALT HLD. JAJEE was the next fix at FL220. Since we were already there and were slowing to 280; VNAV was reengaged and the rest of the approach and landing [was] uneventful.
