Narrative:

Captain flying, I was doing paperwork (maintenance log book). Crossed ALS and went out J13 instead of J44 per clearance. Both captain and I noticed mistake about the same time (15 mi north of ALS, about 2 dots off of J44). Made correction to reintercept arwy. I was not paying attention and did not verify flight path per company procedures. Supplemental information from acn 152238: I was careless, copilot was involved in paperwork. We did not follow prescribed x-chk procedure.
