Narrative:

TCAS RA; descended and continued flight with no further issues. The citation was through their turn and continued the turn causing the TCAS TA turn into an RA. The RA had us maintain altitude but as the citation continued further through the turn; the closure rate continued to well within 100 feet of the aircraft. We were notified of traffic (cessna citation) maneuvering VFR at our altitude. After establishing a visual on the aircraft we continued on course. The citation was apparently conducting a steep turn maneuver for a check ride. I began a descent of 200 feet below the assigned 8;000 feet. As the citation completed the maneuver; we saw that it was at our original altitude and position which could have resulted in a collision. We returned to assigned altitude with no further issues and no communication from ATC; only the citation. We had a visual on their entire maneuver and yet they did not change their flight path. Stay alert and keep visual scan moving.
