Narrative:
Our flight was cleared for take-off on runway 22L in ord. I was the captain and the first officer was the pilot flying. We rolled onto the runway with take-off clearance; once lined up with the runway centerline I transferred control of the aircraft to the first officer. In accordance with our ops manual he set the engines to stabilize them then set take-off power. At about 40 knots tower cancelled our take-off clearance. I took the aircraft and aborted the take-off. We exited the runway at the first available high speed turn off Y3. We were given instructions to taxi on Y and hold short of rr on taxiway Y. We stopped the aircraft then re-accomplished the before take-off checklist. I made a short PA to the passengers and then spoke with the flight attendants. Shortly thereafter we were cleared to continue on Y and cross 28R turn on north for runway 22L. [Days later] I was contacted and told that during our aborted take-off from 22L we crossed a hold short line that is on runway 22L in chicago. I told the administrator that I never saw a hold short line on the runway as I was busy performing a rejected take-off on the runway I had been previously cleared to take off on. He told me to pull up google earth and look at the runway. I see that there is a hold short line across the runway at about 1200 to 1300 feet.
