Narrative:

Aircraft #1 was described above, an small aircraft, departure runway 25L. Aircraft #2 was an medium large transport, departure runway 30. I coordinated a departure off runway 30 with another controller. As I waited for the runway 30 departure to roll, I changed my mind and told the other controller, 'after my full-length departure,' meaning to roll runway 30 after an small aircraft departs runway 25L and clears the intersection. The controller (a trnee) misinterpreted the coordination and cleared medium large transport for takeoff. I cleared the small aircraft for takeoff on runway 25L. The 2 aircraft both departed, the small aircraft rolling through the intersection as medium large transport was about 2000' from the intersection. My attempt to stop the small aircraft--I said, 'small aircraft hold'--was not heeded. The pilot made the decision to keep going through the intersection, as he saw the jet accelerating. It was the only thing to do.

Title: 2 ACFT CLEARED FOR TKOF SIMULTANEOUS ON INTERSECTING RWYS. 1 ACFT CROSSED IN FRONT OF THE OTHER ACFT BY 2000'.

Narrative: ACFT #1 WAS DESCRIBED ABOVE, AN SMA, DEP RWY 25L. ACFT #2 WAS AN MLG, DEP RWY 30. I COORDINATED A DEP OFF RWY 30 WITH ANOTHER CTLR. AS I WAITED FOR THE RWY 30 DEP TO ROLL, I CHANGED MY MIND AND TOLD THE OTHER CTLR, 'AFTER MY FULL-LENGTH DEP,' MEANING TO ROLL RWY 30 AFTER AN SMA DEPARTS RWY 25L AND CLRS THE INTXN. THE CTLR (A TRNEE) MISINTERPRETED THE COORD AND CLRED MLG FOR TKOF. I CLRED THE SMA FOR TKOF ON RWY 25L. THE 2 ACFT BOTH DEPARTED, THE SMA ROLLING THROUGH THE INTXN AS MLG WAS ABOUT 2000' FROM THE INTXN. MY ATTEMPT TO STOP THE SMA--I SAID, 'SMA HOLD'--WAS NOT HEEDED. THE PLT MADE THE DECISION TO KEEP GOING THROUGH THE INTXN, AS HE SAW THE JET ACCELERATING. IT WAS THE ONLY THING TO DO.
