Narrative:
I was copying ATIS when cleared (late) to cross cedes at 11000'. I misread position of faith intersection as cedes. Was questioned by center at cedes. Then cleared to bay approach who cleared us lower and a new heading. We crossed cedes at 13000' instead of assigned 11000'.

Narrative: I WAS COPYING ATIS WHEN CLRED (LATE) TO CROSS CEDES AT 11000'. I MISREAD POS OF FAITH INTXN AS CEDES. WAS QUESTIONED BY CENTER AT CEDES. THEN CLRED TO BAY APCH WHO CLRED US LOWER AND A NEW HDG. WE CROSSED CEDES AT 13000' INSTEAD OF ASSIGNED 11000'.
