We thought we were to make right traffic for runway 6. We made right traffic for runway 6 and were cleared to land. The controller noticed we were on a right downwind for runway 6 and told us to make a 180 degree turn for a left downwind for runway 24. We complied and landed west/O incident on runway 24.
