Narrative:

I departed fresno air terminal on heading of 220 degree. We obtained an arsa clearance from ATC and we were in radio contact the entire time. I had estimated my distance from the airport to be 5-10 mi and thought that I was clear of the arsa and air traffic area. I was flying an small aircraft from the back seat with a fellow private pilot in the front seat. We practiced a few accelerated stall spins at 2000-1500'. I was on the edge of town but not directly over any homes. After a few spin recoveries we departed the area clear to the northeast to do touch and goes at madera airport. Just west of millerton lake, a chp helicopter contacted us and we returned to fat. The officer claimed I was doing acrobatic flight less than 1000' AGL and in the air traffic area.
