Narrative:

While 7 mi north of fernandina airport I called unicom for an advisory. Unicom said 'aerobatics going on west side of runway 31, stay east of centerline'. So I made right hand traffic for runway 31 in accordance with far 91.3(B). The airport has standard left hand traffic usually. There were no NOTAMS when I got a WX briefing earlier. After making right hand traffic for runway 31 I landed and an FAA person came up and wrote my north number, license and medical down for violation of 91.89(a,1). I feel the unicom gave a wrong advisory and should have known what to do or a NOTAM should be out on it.
