Narrative:
Aircraft was modified with an stc engine change. During engine change the engine mount; between engine and firewall; was modified which was outside the stc specification. Further; exhaust system was installed incorrectly thus partially separating from engine cylinders in flight.

Title: Cessna 175 pilot reported that the aircraft was removed from service due to maintenance issues that were not in compliance with FARs.
