Narrative:
Return x-country to home base NK03. Landing light was out. Landed long on runway 28. Could not stop before end of runway. Overran runway by about 75' in field. This incident could have been prevented if I had made a faster decision to do a go around. By the time I realized the landing should be aborted, there wasn't enough runway to clear obstacles at the end of the runway. My judgement was impaired by the broken landing light and a small, poorly lit runway.

Title: LNDG LONG AT NIGHT WITH THE ACFT LNDG LIGHT INOP, GA PLTS FINDS RWY TOO SHORT--THE HARD WAY.
Narrative: RETURN X-COUNTRY TO HOME BASE NK03. LNDG LIGHT WAS OUT. LANDED LONG ON RWY 28. COULD NOT STOP BEFORE END OF RWY. OVERRAN RWY BY ABOUT 75' IN FIELD. THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF I HAD MADE A FASTER DECISION TO DO A GAR. BY THE TIME I REALIZED THE LNDG SHOULD BE ABORTED, THERE WASN'T ENOUGH RWY TO CLR OBSTACLES AT THE END OF THE RWY. MY JUDGEMENT WAS IMPAIRED BY THE BROKEN LNDG LIGHT AND A SMALL, POORLY LIT RWY.
