Narrative:

Approximately 150' east of runway 27, the aircraft suddenly dropped and veered to the right causing a tree strike. The wind was out of the northwest at 15-20 KTS and I was holding strong right rudder to stay lined up with the runway. When the aircraft suddenly dropped and veered right, I immediately took corrective action. Action by correcting rudder and applying full power. The aircraft had already contacted the tree but I was able to continue flight and land successfully. No one was injured. The aircraft has damage to both wings and the stabilator. FAA inspectors office wrote up the report as an incident. The approach to 27 brings an aircraft right over a couple of houses, which have some very tall trees.
