Dispatched to san with no alternate required. Upon arrival; conditions on the ATIS stated MVFR. Started nonprecision approach to runway 27. Went missed approach due to low ceiling. ATC offered runway 09; but the tailwind component was greater than our limits would allow. Contacted dispatch and mutual agreement to divert to ZZZ. Landed at ZZZ.
