Narrative:

Approaching lbb for landing, I was advised by ATC that the threshold at 17R was displaced 3800'. I was unable to determine the exact location at the threshold, so I estimated 4000' and landed. As soon as I touched down, I saw the markings which consisted of 4 barrels on each side of the runway. This did not resemble any displaced threshold markings I had ever seen. After T/D, tower informed me I had landed in a portion of a closed runway. I replied, 'yes, I see it now. Sorry!' I think this could have been prevented if the threshold had been clearly idented with approved markings. No damage.
