Narrative:

Arrived at kodiak, tower closed, cleared for visual approach, contact kenai (ena) FSS on CTAF frequency 119.8 -- did so and landed. Unable to talk to ena FSS on 119.8 or 122.2. Tried to telephone, but the only place open was fixing their phones, so was unable to close IFR flight plan. Returned to aircraft immediately, taxied to spot on airport where ena could receive us, however poorly, to cancel and refile. Was informed that a coast guard helicopter had reported us on the ground to ena FSS (or possibly to anc ATC to ena FSS). 1) this was an exercise in frustration due to inability to communicate. 2) quite honestly, I don't know what else I could have done.
