Narrative:

Called bur approach prior to entering arsa. Circled at 2000' at sepulveda pass. Notified them of intention to touch and go at bur, followed by southeast departure toward downtown. Bur approach cleared me into arsa. Bur approach gave me a handoff to tower. I called tower, 'small transport X with you at 2000'.' bur tower cleared me to land. I did a touch and go and departed to southeast. Bur tower asked me why I didn't notify them of my intentions. I responded that I told approach my intentions. My assumption: in san antonio approach controllers communicate pilot's intentions to tower.

Title: SMA PLT MAKES A TOUCH AND GO LNDG AFTER ASSUMING THAT ADVISING APCH CTLR OF INTENTIONS THAT THE TWR WOULD BE NOTIFIED AUTOMATICALLY.

Narrative: CALLED BUR APCH PRIOR TO ENTERING ARSA. CIRCLED AT 2000' AT SEPULVEDA PASS. NOTIFIED THEM OF INTENTION TO TOUCH AND GO AT BUR, FOLLOWED BY SE DEP TOWARD DOWNTOWN. BUR APCH CLRED ME INTO ARSA. BUR APCH GAVE ME A HDOF TO TWR. I CALLED TWR, 'SMT X WITH YOU AT 2000'.' BUR TWR CLRED ME TO LAND. I DID A TOUCH AND GO AND DEPARTED TO SE. BUR TWR ASKED ME WHY I DIDN'T NOTIFY THEM OF MY INTENTIONS. I RESPONDED THAT I TOLD APCH MY INTENTIONS. MY ASSUMPTION: IN SAN ANTONIO APCH CTLRS COMMUNICATE PLT'S INTENTIONS TO TWR.
