Narrative:
During takeoff; slats were retracted prematurely causing momentary activation of stick shaker. When PF called for flaps up; the pilot monitoring inadvertently selected slats retract. No aircraft buffet was felt and prior to correcting the improper slat configuration the aircraft accelerated to a proper airspeed for the configuration.first officer is new in the aircraft and selected incorrect flap/slat configuration. We thoroughly reviewed the operation of the flap/slat handle operation.

Title: Widebody transport Captain reported experiencing a momentary stick shaker when the First Officer inadvertently retracted the slats instead of the flaps.
