Narrative:
On final approach to land; I ran the before landing flow and checklist. I noticed the nose gear green light didn't come on; I decided to recycle the landing gear. I had the same indication. I tested the lights and they were good. I selected the flaps down and I brought both power levers to fly idle momentarily expecting to hear the unsafe landing gear horn. Unfortunately the horn failed to warn me and I failed to follow the correct procedure in this situation. I concluded too fast that this was just an indication problem. Due to my lack of judgment and overconfidence I landed with the nose gear in the up position.
