Narrative:

After pushback I asked the loader operator if he remembered to raise the lateral guides. I notified supervisor regarding the lateral guides pos.14L/right were manually set down while loading and loader operator forgot to raise lateral guides up. After closing aft cargo door aircraft began pushback. I asked for aircraft to return to gate so we could raise lateral guides up; I was told aircraft departed and it should not be an issue because it's full; no cans will shift.
