Narrative:

Immediately as the aircraft blocked as ramp agent was chocking the nose landing gear; scalding hot water came out of the drain directly behind the nose landing gear; narrowly missing the ramp agent. I spoke to the first officer and he said he didn't know anything about it. I asked about the possibility of a flight attendant pouring unused hot water down the drain and he said that it would be impossible because flight crew are all seated and buckled in until the aircraft is parked. It is my opinion that the water is being poured as soon as the aircraft blocks because of the flight crew's haste to get away. This could possibly cause serious injury/burns to anyone who might be in place under the drain.
