Narrative:

I operated [flight out of] sfo. Approximately 80 minutes before departure we had an equipment swap and was issued another release. I accepted the new release and we downloaded the new optimized flight plan (ofp). We were unable to login into cpdlc for our clearance; thinking that is this modality was not working so late at night; we pivoted to voice communications to receive our clearance; SOP.just prior to being released to oceanic; ATC advised us that our current attempt to login to kzak on cpdlc was futile; as our registration was not matching what was on our filed flight plan. I called dispatch and informed them of the situation and they said they would handle the coordination on the aircraft change and flight plan.upon waking from my crew rest; both the relief officers (ros) informed me that center mentioned that our registration and flight plan were not aligned. I phoned dispatch once again to inform them of the situation. The new dispatcher was not very happy to receive this information.
