Narrative:
On a previous frequency we missed a hand off on the first attempt. On the second attempt the controller came back with a rude and annoyed tone. We took the handoff professionally but commented amongst ourselves at the ease at which they became annoyed. A couple of frequencies later; I checked on with mem center with no response.as we were waiting for response we kiddingly joked about how they don't answer us and I said; apparently transmitting over the radio on a stuck microphone; something to the effect of 'hellllooooooo memphis are yooooooou therrrrrrrre this is (call sign) on 124.12. They never answer when we call' or something like that; in a kidding voice; mimicking the previous annoyed controller. I then checked on again and controller said 'yes (call sign) this is the second acknowledgement of your check on. Caution you have a stuck microphone and we heard you yelling.' at that point my stomach churned and I immediately began to rethink what I had said. I'm not exactly sure what I said but she said it sounded like I was yelling. Out of context it may have sounded like that; but we were merely joking and mimicking the other controller. Next time I will not even joke about that and check on more professionally.the int switches on the panel need to have a more firm switchology. The toggle switch seems to be loose quite often. I will also mind my lame sense of humor.

Title: Air carrier First Officer reported making a transmission on Center frequency due to a stuck mic that he regretted.
Narrative: On a previous frequency we missed a hand off on the first attempt. On the second attempt the Controller came back with a rude and annoyed tone. We took the handoff professionally but commented amongst ourselves at the ease at which they became annoyed. A couple of frequencies later; I checked on with MEM Center with no response. As we were waiting for response we kiddingly joked about how they don't answer us and I said; apparently transmitting over the radio on a stuck MIC; something to the effect of 'Hellllooooooo Memphis are yooooooou therrrrrrrre this is (call sign) on 124.12. They never answer when we call' or something like that; in a kidding voice; mimicking the previous annoyed Controller. I then checked on again and Controller said 'yes (call sign) this is the second acknowledgement of your check on. Caution you have a stuck MIC and we heard you yelling.' At that point my stomach churned and I immediately began to rethink what I had said. I'm not exactly sure what I said but she said it sounded like I was yelling. Out of context it may have sounded like that; but we were merely joking and mimicking the other Controller. Next time I will not even joke about that and check on more professionally. The INT switches on the panel need to have a more firm switchology. The toggle switch seems to be loose quite often.
