Narrative:

After landing on runway 34 in ric; I exited runway 34 on taxiway north. I was initially instructed by tower to turn left on north and hold short runway 02. Once I was short of runway 02 on taxiway north I was instructed to turn left on runway 02 and right on taxiway B and contact ground. I looked left. Stated that the left was clear and proceeded onto the runway. It was not until I was on runway 02 that I saw a small jet on short final for runway 02. The tower controller noticed his mistake and instructed the jet to go around. I was so distracted by the jet coming right at me; I taxied right past taxiway B (a reverse high speed; with no lead off line or signage coming from that direction). Under direction of the tower; I exited the runway on taxiway C and taxied to the ramp.once making the turn onto runway 02 I came face to face with another aircraft on final. This event occurred because the tower controller made a mistake. The air traffic controller sent the jet on final around.I could not have done anything to keep the controller from making the mistake in the first place; but in the future I will be much more diligent in being absolutely sure there is not arriving or departing traffic before entering the runway. I always make a point to visually and verbally clear runways before I enter them. However for the most part I am not expecting ATC to clear me onto a runway that someone is landing on. I certainly will no longer operate under this assumption and will be using much more caution when entering active runways.
