Narrative:

While climbing through FL300; a red right engine oil press low cas message displayed and the oil press digits were red with the pressure showing about 25 psi. I pulled out the corresponding checklist for this message and after reducing the right thrust lever to idle; the cas message went away and the pressure rose to 40 psi in the green. At no time were there any odd noises or vibrations from the engine. We elected to keep the right engine at idle unless the low oil press cas message came back; the oil pressure dropped and red digits displayed; the oil temperature began to rise; or any abnormal vibrations or noises were apparent.we requested to level off at FL330 and contact the company. After not being able to get them on the phone; I emailed them to ask which maintenance facility they would like us to proceed to. They advised either ZZZ1 or ZZZ2. After looking at the mileage to vny or las from our present position; we elected to return to ZZZ since we were less than 150 miles from it and were aware of the current weather conditions there after having just departed. We advised ATC that we were returning to ZZZ and they gave us a new clearance back to ZZZ. Upon crossing zzzzz intersection for the ILS xxr; the red cas message returned and the oil pressure dropped to 25 psi. At this time we decided to shut the right engine down and follow the appropriate checklists for shutdown and single engine landing. From this point we executed the approach; broke out at 1;800MSL; and landed safely. I did not declare an emergency because at no time was there any undue delay by ATC; and the airspace was very inactive for both the ZZZ and ZZZ3 airspaces. ATC did not say; but it appeared that they were giving us priority handling because we had told them we were having an oil pressure problem. Additionally; when we did get the cas message to not extinguish; we were in the middle of maneuvering the airplane to a safe landing; and I didn't want the distraction of trying to advise ATC while doing so. The right engine oil had been very low when checked during preflight. After one quart of oil was added to the right engine; the oil level was at the 'add 1 qt'. The strange thing was that when my first officer checked it yesterday; it was almost showing full. Oil cap was checked after adding the quart of oil; and after returning to ZZZ.
