Narrative:
During cruise flight; we had 1 integrated drive generator (idg) deferred. Complying with the MEL; we had the APU in use for a second generator. About 500 miles from our destination; the APU had an auto shutdown. At this point we were down to one generator. Being that we were 67 miles from airport ZZZ; we elected to [advise ATC of the situation] and land in ZZZ.
