Narrative:

I flew from 'the lndgs' (C-49) VFR to the frankfort airport which is approximately 12 DME west of the chicago heights VOR. Approximately 3 mi to the northwest I called frankfort unicom on 122.8 for winds and active, advising that I was 3 mi to the northwest inbound for landing. I received no response. Knowing that the winds were light out of the west, I maneuvered south of the airport and reported entering a left downwind for runway 27 at frankfort. My altitude at this time was 1400 MSL. My approach continued, with me reporting turning left base for 27 at frankfort, and turning final for 27 at frankfort. Just as I was flaring for my landing, another aircraft called on 122.8 and said, 'aircraft landing at frankfort, you just did a nice job of cutting us off!' after touchdown, during my landing roll, I called back to this aircraft and apologized, but noted to him that I had called out my positions throughout my approach, and did not hear him at all. I got no response. Just as I was turning off at the far end of the runway, this aircraft 'buzzed' right over the top of us -- no more than 20-30' up! In questioning ground personnel, I was advised that the small aircraft was being flown by a frankfort instructor and his student! My lack of seeing this aircraft in the pattern (if he was?) may have been due to the ground clutter blending him in and/or his being on an extremely long pattern so he was not where I expected him to be. The incident would not have happened at all if he would have been reporting his position or at least listening to mine. He could/should have contacted me early in my approach and advised me of his position. His 'buzzing' of me was both unprofessional and dangerous, let alone a very poor example to give his student!

Title: PLT OF SMA LANDED AT UNCONTROLLED ARPT AND HAD ANOTHER SMA FLY OVER ON A GO AROUND.

Narrative: I FLEW FROM 'THE LNDGS' (C-49) VFR TO THE FRANKFORT ARPT WHICH IS APPROX 12 DME W OF THE CHICAGO HEIGHTS VOR. APPROX 3 MI TO THE NW I CALLED FRANKFORT UNICOM ON 122.8 FOR WINDS AND ACTIVE, ADVISING THAT I WAS 3 MI TO THE NW INBND FOR LNDG. I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. KNOWING THAT THE WINDS WERE LIGHT OUT OF THE W, I MANEUVERED S OF THE ARPT AND REPORTED ENTERING A LEFT DOWNWIND FOR RWY 27 AT FRANKFORT. MY ALT AT THIS TIME WAS 1400 MSL. MY APCH CONTINUED, WITH ME REPORTING TURNING LEFT BASE FOR 27 AT FRANKFORT, AND TURNING FINAL FOR 27 AT FRANKFORT. JUST AS I WAS FLARING FOR MY LNDG, ANOTHER ACFT CALLED ON 122.8 AND SAID, 'ACFT LNDG AT FRANKFORT, YOU JUST DID A NICE JOB OF CUTTING US OFF!' AFTER TOUCHDOWN, DURING MY LNDG ROLL, I CALLED BACK TO THIS ACFT AND APOLOGIZED, BUT NOTED TO HIM THAT I HAD CALLED OUT MY POSITIONS THROUGHOUT MY APCH, AND DID NOT HEAR HIM AT ALL. I GOT NO RESPONSE. JUST AS I WAS TURNING OFF AT THE FAR END OF THE RWY, THIS ACFT 'BUZZED' RIGHT OVER THE TOP OF US -- NO MORE THAN 20-30' UP! IN QUESTIONING GND PERSONNEL, I WAS ADVISED THAT THE SMA WAS BEING FLOWN BY A FRANKFORT INSTRUCTOR AND HIS STUDENT! MY LACK OF SEEING THIS ACFT IN THE PATTERN (IF HE WAS?) MAY HAVE BEEN DUE TO THE GND CLUTTER BLENDING HIM IN AND/OR HIS BEING ON AN EXTREMELY LONG PATTERN SO HE WAS NOT WHERE I EXPECTED HIM TO BE. THE INCIDENT WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED AT ALL IF HE WOULD HAVE BEEN REPORTING HIS POSITION OR AT LEAST LISTENING TO MINE. HE COULD/SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED ME EARLY IN MY APCH AND ADVISED ME OF HIS POSITION. HIS 'BUZZING' OF ME WAS BOTH UNPROFESSIONAL AND DANGEROUS, LET ALONE A VERY POOR EXAMPLE TO GIVE HIS STUDENT!
