Narrative:
I was working as a supervisor F/a evaluating probationary F/a's, in which case I occupy a passenger seat. As aircraft is ready for takeoff, another F/a was told by a passenger that a piece of metal was sticking up off the wing and he wanted it looked at. She then came to me in my seat as I was belted in ready for takeoff. I got up and went to the opposite aisle to look and tried to see something abnormal but couldn't, but told her the senior F/a should be notified. She left and I went back to my seat and thereafter, we took off.
