Narrative:

After landing on 16R at den; we were given straight-forward taxi instructions to the gate. We were traveling eastbound on taxiway wb at the time. A company aircraft was traveling southbound on taxiway F as we approached the intersection of wb and F. I had just completed the after landing checklist and checked for traffic to our right. I glanced left and noticed the other aircraft at our 10 o'clock; moving left to right. I did not immediately recognize it as a hazard; assuming they had been told to hold short of wb. They had not. I pointed and warned the captain. He acknowledged; but it turned out that he was looking at a more distant airbus in the same direction. The converging regional jet was obscured from his view by the post between his windows. When I realized that neither aircraft was stopping; I stepped on the brakes. The captain noticed the conflict at that moment as well and we stopped just short of taxiway F; narrowly missing the other aircraft's starboard wingtip. I also want to note we were not aware of any 'hold short' instructions for the other aircraft. We called the tower via phone once at the gate and they stated that they were aware of the event and would look into it.
