Narrative:
I am writing re: WX reporting or the lack thereof from lakeview, or. According to national WX service and my congressman, they are supposed to report every 3 hours, beginning at 0400 to 2200. Yesterday their first report from sea FSS was at 0630. I did not check to see if they missed any other reports yesterday, however I understand the records are available at national WX service in ashville, nc. National WX service has been promising an automatic WX reporting station for at least 3-4 yrs. Lakeview is in eastern or and approximately 1/2 way between rdm and rno in desert and mountainous country. At times it is highly desirable to know the WX there. Would you please check and see if something can be done now for regular reporting from lkv? I would appreciate hearing from you re: this matter.
