Narrative:

45 mi from landing we were slowed from 330 KTS to 250 KTS. 25 mi from landing we were slowed to 210 KTS, as we were turned on a base leg. As we were intercepting the localizer we could hear an airliner turned on base to intercept the localizer at the LOM. There was more conversation between approach (final) and a light aircraft. The light aircraft was given us a traffic and told to change his landing runway and cleared to land behind us. PNF/sic (chief pilot) and I discussed the close sep with the light twin and discussed the line of aircraft waiting for takeoff on both of the intersecting runways. On rollout at the end of the runway, I noticed the communication radio was still set to approach and ground! We ha landed at a huge busy airport and never talked to the tower! I don't think approach (final) handed us off--maybe he handed us off like: 'cleared for the approach, tower at the marker'--I don't know. The sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach was profound. Ground controller said nothing as he cleared us to the ramp! FSDO inspector has not yet contacted me.

Title: PLT OF CPR JET LANDED WITHOUT OBTAINING CLRNC FROM TWR.

Narrative: 45 MI FROM LNDG WE WERE SLOWED FROM 330 KTS TO 250 KTS. 25 MI FROM LNDG WE WERE SLOWED TO 210 KTS, AS WE WERE TURNED ON A BASE LEG. AS WE WERE INTERCEPTING THE LOC WE COULD HEAR AN AIRLINER TURNED ON BASE TO INTERCEPT THE LOC AT THE LOM. THERE WAS MORE CONVERSATION BTWN APCH (FINAL) AND A LIGHT ACFT. THE LIGHT ACFT WAS GIVEN US A TFC AND TOLD TO CHANGE HIS LNDG RWY AND CLRED TO LAND BEHIND US. PNF/SIC (CHIEF PLT) AND I DISCUSSED THE CLOSE SEP WITH THE LIGHT TWIN AND DISCUSSED THE LINE OF ACFT WAITING FOR TKOF ON BOTH OF THE INTERSECTING RWYS. ON ROLLOUT AT THE END OF THE RWY, I NOTICED THE COM RADIO WAS STILL SET TO APCH AND GND! WE HA LANDED AT A HUGE BUSY ARPT AND NEVER TALKED TO THE TWR! I DON'T THINK APCH (FINAL) HANDED US OFF--MAYBE HE HANDED US OFF LIKE: 'CLRED FOR THE APCH, TWR AT THE MARKER'--I DON'T KNOW. THE SINKING FEELING IN THE PIT OF MY STOMACH WAS PROFOUND. GND CTLR SAID NOTHING AS HE CLRED US TO THE RAMP! FSDO INSPECTOR HAS NOT YET CONTACTED ME.
