Narrative:
After a thorough pre-flight in accordance with [flight school] student regulations I taxied to runway 22 via ATC clearance. Once established in my cruise; my passenger door blew out of the aircraft and was lodged between the strut and wing. I [advised ATC] and returned to [departure airport] without further incident.
