Narrative:

We were in communication with center and given a transponder code. We were coming in to the fl coast with stuart airport at our 12 O'clock position and about 15 mi ahead of us, and adjusted our course about 15 degrees to the north and soon had ft pierce in sight. Nearing ft pierce, we descended to 4500' and center started advising us of an small transport Y coming in from the northeast, also landing ft pierce. Several times center advised us and small transport Y where to look for each other. 10-12 mi from ft pierce we started descending from 4500'. 3 mi from threshold of runway 32, which we had been coming straight into, center told us to change to tower frequency. We instantly called but we got no response on first try. We tried a second time. This time the lady controller responded, and I told her we were coming straight in on final for 32. She had an small aircraft that was turning a close base, then final. We were too fast for the space between us, so I started a go around. A male controller overrode the female controller, asking me what I thought I was doing, and then proceeded to tell me to go around, maintain runway heading and climb to 1500'. Past the departure end of runway 32, the female controller came back and said to make right traffic and to stay in pattern to land. The ground controller told us to contact tower at phone # as soon as able. I called and spoke to tower manager and told him what I just wrote here. He then said, in so many words, that he didn't care for anyone coming to the airport to be inside the 5 mi radius and not in contact with tower, and basically thought us reckless. The way that we had been communicating with center and the words that had been exchanged between us, it was evident to me that we were going to be handed off to the tower. Perhaps the female controller is still fairly inexperienced and could not handle the situation, so her boss took over for a moment and maybe is trying to put blame on me for something that I feel is more the fault of center. I was taught to stick with a controller until released by him/her. Center terminated our service and told us to reset transponder 1200 when they told us to contact tower, about 3 mi from runway 32. The tower manager advised me that we would be receiving a call from FSDO. It seems as though he wants to pursue this to have action against my pilot license. Someone with more authority than he should reevaluate him in his position. Seems he possibly has an ego problem.

Title: GA SMT UNAUTH PENETRATION OF FPR ATA.

Narrative: WE WERE IN COM WITH CENTER AND GIVEN A XPONDER CODE. WE WERE COMING IN TO THE FL COAST WITH STUART ARPT AT OUR 12 O'CLOCK POS AND ABOUT 15 MI AHEAD OF US, AND ADJUSTED OUR COURSE ABOUT 15 DEGS TO THE N AND SOON HAD FT PIERCE IN SIGHT. NEARING FT PIERCE, WE DSNDED TO 4500' AND CENTER STARTED ADVISING US OF AN SMT Y COMING IN FROM THE NE, ALSO LNDG FT PIERCE. SEVERAL TIMES CENTER ADVISED US AND SMT Y WHERE TO LOOK FOR EACH OTHER. 10-12 MI FROM FT PIERCE WE STARTED DSNDING FROM 4500'. 3 MI FROM THRESHOLD OF RWY 32, WHICH WE HAD BEEN COMING STRAIGHT INTO, CENTER TOLD US TO CHANGE TO TWR FREQ. WE INSTANTLY CALLED BUT WE GOT NO RESPONSE ON FIRST TRY. WE TRIED A SECOND TIME. THIS TIME THE LADY CTLR RESPONDED, AND I TOLD HER WE WERE COMING STRAIGHT IN ON FINAL FOR 32. SHE HAD AN SMA THAT WAS TURNING A CLOSE BASE, THEN FINAL. WE WERE TOO FAST FOR THE SPACE BTWN US, SO I STARTED A GAR. A MALE CTLR OVERRODE THE FEMALE CTLR, ASKING ME WHAT I THOUGHT I WAS DOING, AND THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME TO GO AROUND, MAINTAIN RWY HDG AND CLB TO 1500'. PAST THE DEP END OF RWY 32, THE FEMALE CTLR CAME BACK AND SAID TO MAKE RIGHT TFC AND TO STAY IN PATTERN TO LAND. THE GND CTLR TOLD US TO CONTACT TWR AT PHONE # AS SOON AS ABLE. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO TWR MGR AND TOLD HIM WHAT I JUST WROTE HERE. HE THEN SAID, IN SO MANY WORDS, THAT HE DIDN'T CARE FOR ANYONE COMING TO THE ARPT TO BE INSIDE THE 5 MI RADIUS AND NOT IN CONTACT WITH TWR, AND BASICALLY THOUGHT US RECKLESS. THE WAY THAT WE HAD BEEN COMMUNICATING WITH CENTER AND THE WORDS THAT HAD BEEN EXCHANGED BTWN US, IT WAS EVIDENT TO ME THAT WE WERE GOING TO BE HANDED OFF TO THE TWR. PERHAPS THE FEMALE CTLR IS STILL FAIRLY INEXPERIENCED AND COULD NOT HANDLE THE SITUATION, SO HER BOSS TOOK OVER FOR A MOMENT AND MAYBE IS TRYING TO PUT BLAME ON ME FOR SOMETHING THAT I FEEL IS MORE THE FAULT OF CENTER. I WAS TAUGHT TO STICK WITH A CTLR UNTIL RELEASED BY HIM/HER. CENTER TERMINATED OUR SVC AND TOLD US TO RESET XPONDER 1200 WHEN THEY TOLD US TO CONTACT TWR, ABOUT 3 MI FROM RWY 32. THE TWR MGR ADVISED ME THAT WE WOULD BE RECEIVING A CALL FROM FSDO. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH HE WANTS TO PURSUE THIS TO HAVE ACTION AGAINST MY PLT LICENSE. SOMEONE WITH MORE AUTHORITY THAN HE SHOULD REEVALUATE HIM IN HIS POS. SEEMS HE POSSIBLY HAS AN EGO PROB.
