Narrative:

Both aircraft are based at slatington airport. I was flying small aircraft X straight and level at traffic pattern altitude. My position was on crosswind leg north of the airport, in preparation for turning onto downwind leg, to land on runway 01. While flying the crosswind leg an small aircraft Y overtook us from behind, flying directly over the top of my plane about 100' above it. There was no indication that the small aircraft Y pilot ever saw us. I could not see the small aircraft Y because he approached from the rear and flew right down the centerline of my aircraft.
