An aircraft was inbound to elmendorf AFB (edf) via ILS runway 6. This final approach course is protected from VFR traffic via far-93. Coordination with merrill field (mri) airport traffic control tower (ATCT) by landline is required to allow/restrict aircraft VFR from penetrating the far-93 with or without coordination. I called mri to make them 'red light'; instead of saying 'red light' I said 'green light'.stopping departures and restricting lake hood (lhd) VFR traffic into and out of the far-93 is an automated button. We could possibly use the same button or another button to indicate red lights for mri and anc.

Title: Two A11 TRACON controllers reported a communication breakdown with the nearby MRI Tower Controller during the coordination of a military airport arrival.
