Narrative:

During a moderate departure rush from atl, while several aircraft were on assigned headings and of various types and airspeeds, the #1 and #2 transmitters and receivers failed. I was unable to transmit or receive on buec either. I was able to get another frequency released for my use and the aircraft on my frequency noticed the failure and changed to other center frequencys. This is the first NASA report that I have filed. The reason that drove me to make this first report is the frequency that these frequencys seem to be failing recently. On several occasions over the last 3 or 4 weeks this frequency (134.95) and several others in area 6 of atlanta center have gone completely dead or have had had to be released to maintenance because of poor quality.
