Narrative:
During taxi on ground control I crossed the hold line to runway 04R at sff without clearance. This occurred as I was changing to tower frequency as instructed by ground. After crossing the hold line I immediately stopped and turned around. There was no other traffic at the airport. I believe that I was distracted by changing radio frequencies while taxiing. In the future I will stop taxiing to set radios to requested frequencies. I am an instructor and will review this with students and pilots getting flight reviews.
