Narrative:

We were east of fewww intersection on the BRDJE1 arrival when we were given a hold due to flooding on the runways at dfw. We held for approximately 10 minutes and were then given the SEEVR1 arrival; direct to chmli intersection. In the meantime the captain was acarsing dispatch to have our alternate changed. We were given another hold at chmli intersection. I mentioned two times in the hold that I wasn't sure the fuel was going to work because we were getting close to our minimum fuel for the approach; and the captain informed me that 'we would be fine.' we never got our fuel burn to [the new alternate] from dispatch so I didn't have numbers to calculate our hold fuel to that airport. About the time that dispatch sent us a bingo number the captain was trying to request with ATC that we get put back on the arrival or we divert to our alternate. This took a few minutes. We were put back on the SEEVR1 arrival again and attempted an approach to runway 17C. At about 160ft the captain initiated a go around due to the crosswind and the aircraft feeling unstable.at this point we told ATC that we needed to go to [our original alternate]. We landed there without incident. After several hours of ground stops we were given clearance to dfw and completed the flight without incident.

Title: A Large Transport flight crew held twice inbound to their destination. When finally cleared for the approach they went missed at 160 feet because of the crosswind and the aircraft feeling unstable. They proceed to their alternate; declared minimum fuel; and landed without incident.
