Taxiing to the gate during APU start. F/a called on interphone and stated passenger were reporting flames over right wing. APU shut down and fire bottle discharged. Strong odor of fire/smoke detected in cockpit. Passenger evacuate/evacuation ordered, emergency equipment called, checklist completed.

Title: ON TAXI TO GATE AFTER LNDG, LGT HAD APU TORCH. EMERGENCY EVACUATION.
Narrative: TAXIING TO THE GATE DURING APU START. F/A CALLED ON INTERPHONE AND STATED PAX WERE RPTING FLAMES OVER RIGHT WING. APU SHUT DOWN AND FIRE BOTTLE DISCHARGED. STRONG ODOR OF FIRE/SMOKE DETECTED IN COCKPIT. PAX EVAC ORDERED, EMER EQUIP CALLED, CHKLIST COMPLETED.
