Narrative:

Scheduled air carrier at FL390. Corporate jet assigned FL410 as requested. Strip and radar data block indicates FL370. I did not submit new assigned altitude in the computer. I observed altitude 37,600 in data block 7 mi separation, next sweep 37,800 recleared aircraft to FL370 and turned air carrier behind corporate jet to provide additional separation. Computer readout indicated more than 5 mi, then less than 5 mi. 4,375, then more than 5 mi. Second computer readout indicated a data block jump during the air carrier turn which was ruled as no legitimate target with less than 5 mi.
