Narrative:

The following conflict arose between my aircraft, an small aircraft flown by student and me, and a commuter light transport flight originating out of lake havasu. The conflict and subsequent endangerment of the 2 crews and passenger was a direct result of light transport crew's failure to maintain visibility sep from slower traffic. Additionally, the captain's failure to follow both prescribed right-of-way overtaking rules, and failure to follow the approach controller's specific horizontal guidance, equally contributed to the dangerously close condition that arose between the 2 aircraft. After landing small aircraft turned to the left at the end of runway 19L onto taxiway gulf and stopped. This being consistent with an aircraft's obligation to clear the runway as quickly as safety permits. After small aircraft's subsequent turn off the runway and stop, flight light transport was holding short of 19L waiting for small aircraft to clear. Flight light transport was cleared to cross behind small aircraft. The ground controller said, 'follow that small aircraft.' at this point the captain of flight light transport chose to disregard safety once again. Flight light transport passed us on the left after being instructed to follow small aircraft. The pass brought the right wing tip within 4' of the vertical tail of small aircraft.

Title: CLOSE PROX COMMUTER LTT OVERTAKING GA SMA ON STRAIGHT IN APCH TO SNA.

Narrative: THE FOLLOWING CONFLICT AROSE BTWN MY ACFT, AN SMA FLOWN BY STUDENT AND ME, AND A COMMUTER LTT FLT ORIGINATING OUT OF LAKE HAVASU. THE CONFLICT AND SUBSEQUENT ENDANGERMENT OF THE 2 CREWS AND PAX WAS A DIRECT RESULT OF LTT CREW'S FAILURE TO MAINTAIN VIS SEP FROM SLOWER TFC. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAPT'S FAILURE TO FOLLOW BOTH PRESCRIBED RIGHT-OF-WAY OVERTAKING RULES, AND FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE APCH CTLR'S SPECIFIC HORIZ GUIDANCE, EQUALLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE DANGEROUSLY CLOSE CONDITION THAT AROSE BTWN THE 2 ACFT. AFTER LNDG SMA TURNED TO THE LEFT AT THE END OF RWY 19L ONTO TXWY GULF AND STOPPED. THIS BEING CONSISTENT WITH AN ACFT'S OBLIGATION TO CLR THE RWY AS QUICKLY AS SAFETY PERMITS. AFTER SMA'S SUBSEQUENT TURN OFF THE RWY AND STOP, FLT LTT WAS HOLDING SHORT OF 19L WAITING FOR SMA TO CLR. FLT LTT WAS CLRED TO CROSS BEHIND SMA. THE GND CTLR SAID, 'FOLLOW THAT SMA.' AT THIS POINT THE CAPT OF FLT LTT CHOSE TO DISREGARD SAFETY ONCE AGAIN. FLT LTT PASSED US ON THE LEFT AFTER BEING INSTRUCTED TO FOLLOW SMA. THE PASS BROUGHT THE RIGHT WING TIP WITHIN 4' OF THE VERT TAIL OF SMA.
